Marriage In Us & Return To Thailand

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I got a quick question that I couldn't find as I scanned through some older topics.

My Thai fiancee and I plan on having a wedding ceremony back in the states with my family in October. We live and work in Thailand so after the wedding we will be coming back. I've noticed that it takes a long time to get a fiancee visa so I was wondering if we could get married on a tourist visa. She got a tourist visa last year to visit the USA so it shouldn't be as difficult this time around.

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

THanks!!!

Take a look at her visa, it might still be valid and she doesn't need to apply again. Most visas these days are 10 year multi entry, though in some cases they do give 3 month single entry the first time.

You can get married on a tourist visa, but do not mention any such intention if you have to apply again or at port of entry.
