What Do You Read On Tv.com?

Featured Replies

I made a post in Bedlam a couple of days back that drew a lot of comment. I missed every word until ten minutes ago when I happened to be browsing and noticed it. I immediately apologized and said I hadn't seen the reactions but then thought "hang on, no one's gonna believe that shit, they'll all think you were sulking".

Well I didn't and I wasn't. :o

TV is just too large for me to get through with my other internet "commitments" so I usually go straight to my profile and read any replies to my posts. Couldn't have done it this time until new posts pushed it off the window.

Then I'll read the jokes, check the sports forum for any AFL posts, look in food which sadly misses Tutsi and Jet rarely seems to go there lately, then down to the Chiang Rai forum, and boy that can be quiet..(come back Limbo where ever you are, all is forgiven).

Then I go to Chiang Mai which I suppose I am not technically a member as I live near Chiang Rai but there is always something of interest there.

I rarely look at General now for reasons I won't go into and haven't been a regular poster in Bedlam for what are probably the opposite reasons. (Sceadugengas can be contrary beasts). Having said that I saw a few things there that piqued my interest today so I'll read then a bit more carefully tonight.

So how do YOU read TV? Does anybody here get through it all in a day? Every day?

Didn't think you were sulking just wondered if you were ok Mate

I go straight to CM forum and find see what's happening there. Then I switch to Bedlam to take the last word back from whoever nicked it of me last. Then I check if there are new posts in areas I like to read. Also if there are any new threads of interest. Sadly no one seems to like Raro's Beer thread anymore so it has fallen back onto the wagon and disapreared in limbo heaven.

Some threads such as the CB150, Aussie Footy, and Jokes I get eMails to tell me there has been a new message added so I will click on them. Other than that I spend my day with the 'puter on and when I get time I will flick onto the web browser and to a overscan. Something catch my interest I will reply, get back the last word from Suiging AGAIN, see if I can stir up Jet Gorgon (I think she is moulting so has gone quiet these last weeks). I almost never hit "check new postings" and avoid the General Forum as much as possible. I think I got stuck in the turnstyles of Wester Food and ended up in a fascinating thread about Maccaroni cheese before I found my way to the exit line, past "Vegemite what is it good for" where I notice AussieThaied posting up 3,063 photos of people covered in vegemite as a way to entice the rest of the world to eat it - NEVER going to happen Muff Diver me ol' mate.

The rest of the forums are basically a mystery to me. I spend too much (way too much) time here as it is now to spread out to any other areas. I must say I have never looked in the Chiang Rai forum but I have been reliably told I once flamed a guy in Pattaya forum before it had even opened. I have no recollection of this event but given my past history I must admit it is a distinct possibility.

People covered in vegemite? Is that all they had on? Hang on getting hot and sweaty here, gotta go back and have a look. (HTF did I miss that?!!!!)

there's many posters you will not see in bedlam because of reasons id rather not mention. same as you said above.

but it has been said that bedlam is " too in house" and a " inside boys club" so to speak and some people prefer to mix it up in the general forum and others.

on the other hand there are posters that never get out of " bedlam" and how boring is that.?

must be some of those really fun threads that keeps them rivited down here in the bowels of thai visa. :D

" the last word " now that was alittle beauty. :o

I read everything written by that chap bendix. If I have time left over, I re-read it to see if I missed something important from earlier reads.

Steal TLW and then off to the lovely patters forum where I try to be nice, unless the PDL is gathering to pour scorn on some troll who has never been there !!!!

" the last word " now that was alittle beauty. :o

One man's meat is another man's poison. TLW is good for some of us who like to dive into and out of TV while working. It is short and snappy. Other people get their rocks of on stuff like houseplants, funny signs, katoey bars in BKK - whatever.

One of the great things about TV is that it is big enough for people to find the places they like to play and be happy. I doubt that even the most serious poster could cover the whole of the forum and how boring would it be if it was like it originally was which was just information (valuable though it was) about visas in Thailand.

CB - who is going to find a beer with his name on it asap

I was always a 'view new posts' lazy boy unless I was looking for something specific , which is why I was p*ssing in the wind on the subject of bedflam being excluded.

I read tv.com for the episod-guides and latest news about shows I follow.

I always check bedlam first, then (and this is all dependant on time!) Koh Samui, then the food forums, then Pub (used to be very funny) then Ladies, then Buddhism, then General and finally, Jokes. It's seldom I get all that done but if and when I do, I'll then check new posts. Like I said, it all depends on time and how busy I am with other things.

I also have a few other web sites that I check nearly every day. Some classic car sites and some religous sites.

Gasp! Bendix in Beddies? Holey Aunt Jemima in the scullery with a spade! How'd you do it Scea? Drag him in on the "it's Friday so it must be lawyers day" visitation? Good to see you, Bendix. Look out inmates.

I open General first to see if Bendix has deep-sixed the usual suspects, who never know they've been done. I try not to post there much now, because I always get into trouble.

The plants and pets; sometimes food, but we do need to spice up the kitchen, Scea (I think Tutsi is still in some Arabian sand box). Then a driveby in Samui, then Bedlam to pluck Caw feathers and try to break another one of Limpy's legs.

As I said before, Beddies is safe. Like the old boys at Shawshank, you get institutionalised I guess. And what would I do without Tiggy, Fluffy, FS, Thaddy, 86, Grovie, Mr BJ, Kerry, the tape deck, NR, Raro, and Kan Win and his photos? Or Lanny and Mobi and Cranky Ol Croc. And Terry 57, Robski and all the other wanklettes. And then I get to rename newbies, like Cawboy, Limpalong and Twinkie. I would rename Bendix, but somehow nothing comes to mind except Bendix and Stalin. mmmm, Stolly?

I read General, Ladies, Pets, Hua Hin forum (once a week is usually enough in that fast moving hotbed of a subforum! :o ) and (less & less these days) Bedlam. Then, if I'm bored & browsing, I'll take a look at some of the others.

I'm one of those posters mentioned above. :D Limiting myself to Bedlam is the only way I can control the time I spend on this site. I do get out once in a blue moon to peruse other forums. Then again, if there are specific questions I want to ask I'll be in the particular forum that pertains to those questions. You'll most likely never see me in the News forum as no news is good news to me.

Belam isn't "too in house" to my way of thinking. Sure, you're going to get to know a certain slice of posters better than others and end up having a rapport with them. It's not like anyone is ever purposely excluded. Posters here a openly and equally friendly. Maybe some have confidence issues? :D

I go first.....ish to view new posts and have a quick scan to see if there's any new threads started that look interesting or any I've contributed that are still on the boil.

After that it's straight off to Bethlem hospital for some sensible nonsense.

Bendix does come up with some stunning one liners crammed full of his dry cutting wit. I sometimes try to come up with a riposte but I'm out of my league. I know my place.

Apart from the odd foray into news clippings the only specific forum I visit is Pattaya but mainly because that's where I lived for the decade+ I was in Thailand. As I'm currently out of country, and likely to be so for a few years yet, I can't really contribute regarding latest info but I try and add my 20 Sen's worth when I can.

General is okay but by the time the thread gets to page 2 or 3 you can bet it's into it's early p1ssing contest phase and I seldom bother. Anyone who changes their opinion on the basis of an internet forum is either ill informed to begin with (anyone can be wrong) or is too young to be in possession of opinions.

Bedlam (now)

Hey Jet missed ya babe, thought you had gone off moulting or something. I would like to ask you to help out in the renaming stakes. I started up a thread in CM forum for the local members who have been renamed. It started when that reprobate AussieThaied modded my name to Loi Kroh Boy - for those that don't know CM Loi Kroh is the main bar street in CM and apparently it has a dodgy reputation alhough having never been there I have no idea why :o

AussieThaied has now been renamed as MuffDiver although it is now by default Muffy

Would be happy to see you add your bit to the thread and bring some of your particular style of humour/humor to our part of the country

I fear it will be fleeting and sporadic visits, dear Jet. I don't think I'm a Bedlam kinda chap. It's a bit too anarchic and Monty Pythonesque for me. I'm more of a The Royle Family type - the sharp aside, the chaos within a context etc etc.

Still, you never know. I might get to like it.

Jet...you want me to offer chocolate bribe for your friend above to stay? :D:o

<deleted>? Aunt Jemima in a pancake. Leave the shop to Thaddy for ten minutes and its Bedlam.

Austthaied is Muffy? No f* way. He is 86. Call Kaos. This is slop.

Now, Bendix, this is the deluxe family forum, not the Royle family. Add up the IQbies here and they outstrip general by I dunno, what's the Beddie/General industrial average ratio there, BJ? And could you calculate the long-term forecast there too, please (maybe use the discounted brain flow models).

Miggy, can you just bring choc for all of us? I need a fix, too.

Cawbie, I'm gonna strip your wings, sure I will. You and the fur sproings of your little limpy dog, too.

I tried to post the BBC news link here, but it keeps getting bounced off by a satellite source showing the prison cell of that chick, Paris Hilton. 86!

Chocs for everyone here today :o

I decided to be nice today :D

you can all come join my Chocolate Party
