I slipped last night and now can barely walk on it.  I can still move my toes, so i assume nothing is broken.  Should i get an x-ray?  How long will it take to recover?

Maybe ask a doctor?

When to see a doctor

If you experience an injury and have symptoms of a midfoot sprain or injury, treat initially using the following steps:

  1. Rest (you may need crutches if your pain is extreme)
  2. Ice the affected area intermittently throughout the day
  3. Elevate the foot as much as you can to decrease swelling

If initial treatment does not relieve pain and/or swelling or if you are unable to bear weight on the foot, make an appointment to see an orthopedic specialist. Your doctor will do a physical examination of the foot and may prescribe the following imaging tests to look for damage to other structures, like a bone fracture:

Sprained ankle likely...not serious...ice first 24 hours afterwards warm moist heat. You'll be good to go in 7 to 10 days. Stay off it as far as walking but joint movement and massage will help speed recovery. (This is from personal experience)

See you are already a expert. Dr. Google helped you. ????

Nah, but just follow the 3 steps and it will probably get better. How long time it takes, will very du to how severe sprain you have,

I slipped and turned my left foot over last year. The pain was excruciating to begin with.

I immediately put an ice pack on it and my wife strapped it up for me.

The following morning it was clearly swollen but the pain was less intense.

I made the decision to not go for an x-ray.

Within a week I could more or less put my full weight on it.

In the end, it probably took about 6 weeks for it to completely heal.

The only treatment I used was a cooling gel for pain and inflammation which I purchased from a local pharmacy. Whether it helped or not is difficult to say.

Yup. That can not be unseen.

Not the best picture, but there seem to be some unusual protuberances.  It does not look like a normal ankle contour.   If true, you should get an xray.

The whole situation was bizarre. Basically i fainted, blacked out, during that time i was told i got up and fell down 3 times.  I don't remember what happened. There were some Thai women yelling at me to sit down. And an expat guy was freaking out, saying i could die! He then called an ambulance, which i told him to wait but he didn't listen. He kept on saying i could die. The paramedic arrived and try to force me to go to the hospital. I had 2 cut on the back of my head, the front of lip and above  my front tooth.  But not bad, just minor. A bruise on my hip, bleeding on the my elbows. Here is the weird thing, later i notice some abrasion my testicle skin. I notice when i went to the shower, but no other pain. So how could i get abrasions down there? I wear thick shorts.

Anyway i felt better and told them i didn't want to go to the hospital. They crowd wasn't happy, but i assured them i had stomach problems and did not sleep the night before, so i just got dizzy and fainted.

You have to keep this in mind, if you ever are about to faint or get dizzy you need to immediately sit down on the ground no matter how embarrassing it will be.

That should be a much bigger concern than your ankle...for that you SHOULD see a doctor !

This can happen when i have indigestion, i've been eating too much and did not sleep the night before.  Have you never had dizzy spells when you get up too quickly? It is the same.

"Fainting, also called passing out or syncope, is a temporary loss of consciousness. It's caused by a sudden decrease of blood flow to the brain. An episode typically lasts a few seconds or minutes. Most fainting spells are not a cause for concern."

Adds new meaning to the term "broke dick?"

That you can move your toes in no way means you do not have a fracture. It just means the nerves are intact, tells you nothing about the state of the bones.

Yes, you need a visit to the doctor and an Xray. In the meantime, do not bear weight on the foot.

How long it will take to recover will depend on whether there is a fracture. Uncomplicated fractures take around 6-8 weeks to heal.  If it is just a sprain then anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks depending on severity.

And as others said, you definitely do need to get the fainting episode investigated. Could have been a serious heart arrythmia or a TIA. Both of which put you at risk of more serious events if left undiagnosed/untreated.  That you do not remember some of what you did right afterwards (attempting to get up) really raises a red flag - this was not simple fainting from the causes you mention.
