I have often heard BG say to me, I do not go with to young man, old man, fat man, India man or Muslims, and not even finished another glass of beer, seeing them head out with first and best customer that is willing to pay.

2-4 take outs every week, some younger managed more even in one day, but normal decent beer bar girls, aimed for long term holiday gf only, and when had a man promising coming back, some only went short times, and was available almost 24 hours for any who checking them up. I met a girl at a bar on Walking Street who told me she loved groups of Indian guys. According to her they were quick, clean and polite. Two hours of work could result in 4,000-6,000 baht and it was basically just vanilla sex. Easy money. I was surprised at this. And I guess she might not be representative of the majority in Pattaya. But it's an interesting viewpoint.

And that's where you (or rather Google) are wrong.  The act of paying someone for sexual services is not illegal in Thailand; in fact the laws are not dissimilar to the UK, where the act itself is not illegal, although many aspects surrounding it are.

Why would anyone on holiday in Thailand be so sad as to sit in his hotel and use the internet for a hook-up?  Part of the fun is going out drinking and deluding yourself that you've "pulled" in bar/gogo/disco.  The nightlife business is far from over, but may take another year or so to get back to pre-Covid levels.
