dlm5star
Hi all, has anyone recently sent any parcels/packages TO the U.K. from Thailand? Is there any recent/new customs changes? TIA
CharlieH
I believe 20% vat and import duty subject to content and declared value. DO NOT use any form of courier if it can be avoided as this will guarantee appropriate surcharges.
dlm5star
Just now, CharlieH said: I believe 20% vat and import duty subject to content and declared value. CharlieH
A few months bacl the Posf Office staff were advising senders. "Gifts" is pretty meaningless as they know not everything is as declared, Use the Post Office, be conservative, you never know your luck.
Speedo1968
I am sure you are aware that liquids of any kind even nose inhalers cannot be sent by post. I send hair products once a year to a daughter in the UK and have to use DHL. ( Its still cheaper than buying in the UK even if some of the items were available. )
Andycoops
Last week I sent some documents via DHL, under half a kilo in weight the cost was 1500 baht. I left the DHL office here at lunchtime on a Monday and they were signed for late Wednesday afternoon in the UK.
