A few months bacl the Posf Office staff were advising senders. "Gifts" is pretty meaningless as they know not everything is as declared,

 

Use the Post Office, be conservative, you never know your luck.

I am sure you are aware that liquids of any kind even nose inhalers cannot be sent by post.
I send hair products once a year to a daughter in the UK and have to use DHL.   ( Its still cheaper than buying in the UK even if some of the items were available. )
