Police get verbal abuse during raid at Pattaya pub open after hours

Daily News reported that DOPA officials led by Pornchai Sang-iat and Muang Pattaya police raided a pub called Tom Dee Panics.

 

There had been complaints that the pub was operating after hours.

 

When the authorities arrived they found the main door locked. They were obliged to gain access through a side door. It was 2.30 am Sunday.

Fifty patrons were enjoying their night drinking and dancing. The music was turned off and everyone was ordered to wear their masks.

 

Many had a go at the police with verbal assaults for spoiling the fun.

 

The manager was arrested and Pornchai said that moves were underway to have the establishment shut down.

Not often I applaud the BIB but the bar asked for it.

To balance my comment above; drove 150 kms to BKK & back.  Saw ONE police car on 1st journey parked up.  On return journey saw FOUR police cars all escorting VIPs whilst Thai nutters were committing multiple motoring offences.
