Dr Somsri Paosawat said the letters were sent last week. This came after the digital economy and society minister proposed legalizing e-cigarettes. While many say that vaping can help people quit regular cigarettes Dr Somsri is of the opinion that they are especially harmful for youth and children. Naew Na reported that the World Health Organization said that 32 countries, including Thailand, ban the devices. She wants the import and distribution to remain illegal. Heavy penalties exist for the import and distribution of the devices, notes ASEAN NOW. Then maybe try limiting access for youth and children? And maybe a little education? Time and time again, illegality has been proven to not reduce access by the youth.
