Customers arriving in droves! Thai lady hits on idea of "Durian Bua Loi"

A Thai trader called Suratwadee or Ne, 37, told Sanook how she was doing a roaring trade selling durian.

But not just the plain fruit - she was making the popular "Bua Loi" that is a dish with a liquid sauce that has flour balls floating in it.

Ne has hit on the idea of including durian in the balls to give her 100 baht dish that extra oomph.

Especially now its durian season and her Thai customers can't get enough of the King of Fruits.

She says that she only used the best grade "Mon Thong" (golden pillow) variety of durian and even then makes sure it is in peak condition. It has been a trial and error journey over the last few months but now she has perfected her dish.

She also sells other durian products.

Sanook said her idea was a "lights on moment".

Apart from her well developed traders' brain and business acumen, Sanook surprisingly made no reference to the lady's other assets, notes ASEAN NOW.

My guess it's those other "assets" that attract her customers  ????

Sure, they give us an initial report to entice us. But will there be a followup report to keep us abreast of how she's doing?

In threads involving beauty pageant contestants there are always comments about ‘plastic-boobs’ and 'looks like a lady-boy’ etc etc...

.... Then when we have some fake boobs on a person who very much resembles a ladyboy the posters get excited...

Or is it just the excitement at the opportunity to crack a couple ‘a-breast-of’ and ‘milk’ jokes in an attempt to highlight ones humorous prowess ????

Sounds painful!

Hardly a news story but thank you @Webfact for sharing this with your loyal readers.

Come for the durian - stay for the coconuts.

It's a great news story.

Beats the Indian gold chain thefts and guys who love ladyboy stories.

If she was selling PM2.5 I'd by a large helping.

The golden pillows look to be in peak condition to me.

Well I can see a couple of things that would point to her popularity but it's not just her big ideas that are selling the Durian.

I get the feeling she would be extremely popular with male clientele as well
