I intend to apply soon and, as I am unable to travel to Bangkok, I will have to use an agent.  I would like to know whether anyone has any knowledge or experience of an agent in the Ubon area,  or reasonably close.

 

If not,  and I have to use an agent via the postal system, any recommendations/warnings would be appreciated.

I have known Prakhonchai Nick for decades and only heard good reports of his service. If you look up 'Thai widows and expats' , I believe you will find him.

I can also confirm the great service provided by TW&E. Nick sorted my last passport renewal for me.

Thanks; I have had Key Visa and Thai Visa Express recommended.

Allow about 3 months for a new passport even using an "agent".
Make sure the information you fill in on the application form is readable as the boxes for each letter / number are small,

My friend couldn't guarantee being available for an appointment set by VHS, so finally I posted to an agent in Pattaya.

It has gone smoothly so far, and my documents have been forwarded to HMPO..
