sending money uk to thailand, i don't get charged but gf does

People here are focusing on the reason for sending money instead of the payment method.  Depending on what payment method is chosen will affect the cost (see the attached photo with a 1000USD transfer):

@bbko please go back to the beginning and read the OP !

This topic has nothing to do with sending fees with Wise.

The OP sent XXXX THB to Thailand after paying fees.

On the first transfer the OP's wife checked her balance at a UK ATM and her account had increased by (XXXX-300) THB

The second transfer of XXXX resulted in the full XXXX being credited.

The two transfers were made using different reasons.

Only the balance is showing on the UK ATM not the individual transactions so the reason for the missing 300 THB is not specified there.

As they do not have online or app access to their account they cannot see the code/reason for the missing 300 THB, we will have to wait until they get back to the LOS for the conclusion to this mystery.

They had not however checked the balance immediately before the first transfer so the 300 THB could already have been debited since they last checked.

I suspect this is what has happened, the 300 THB ATM card fee has been taken in the interim and that is why the first transfer on resulted in a balance increase of (XXXX-300)

Bangkok Bank do not charge fees at all on incoming Wise transfers that arrive in THB, irrespective of the reason used on the Wise site/app.
