Thailand’s “Red-shirt” followers packed the Ubon Ratchathani provincial airport this morning to welcome to Paetongtarn Shinawatra, who led key Pheu Thai party members on a campaign trip to wrestle back control of Si Sa Ket, following the defection of three MPs to the Bhumjaithai party.

The three Si Sa Ket MPs had voted in support of the government’s budget bill for 2023 in its first reading early this month, in defiance of the party whip.

The group travelled by car to neighbouring Si Sa Ket, where rallies were to be held today (Saturday) in Uthomporn Phisai, Khun Han and Rasi Salai districts.

At the first of those stops, Paetongtarn, head of the “Pheu Thai Family” and advisory chair of the party’s innovation and public participation efforts, addressed a big crowd of supporters, saying that they should vote for the party in the next general election, if they want a better future for their families and to rid themselves of poverty.

Lets wait and see, what is next. The dinosaurs are getting ready early for an all-out fight, it seems .....

Losers, whoever moves into the driver's seat, is oncemore again the voter whose vote will again depend on the printed paper with something like ""*ç"ç% hundred Baht".

It really looks like the perpetual merry-go-round to me ????

Until 2 weeks after the result, and then we will see another coup from the usual suspects

By usual suspects you meant the 3 Ps, they have been neutralized by the new boss. None has direct command of the army. Their patron and possibly conduit of previous 2 coups has passed. Another coup is still possible and will not be a cake walk.

What a hypocrite. She wouldn't be seen dead with a farmers' scarf tied around her waist when she frequents obscenely expensive clubs and restaurants in Bangkok and Chiang Mai with her posse of coat-tailing sycophant friends.

On another note: it might be the photo's low resolution... but why is she having a white moustache gracing her upper lip? Milk fan? Foaming at the mouth? Or... (noooo, discard that thought!!!)

Though old, worn out and over-used, that ruse still seems to work like a charm with a gullible, under-educated clientele. Simply lie to them you're going to make all of them rich and - bam! - you've pretty much secured their votes.

I am sure all those farmers will right away recognize that she is one of them.

Add a few hundred THB, free food and music to that and they are all happy.

Maybe they also could vigorously rub her up and down to find the next winning lottery numbers..
