Hi can anyone help me,i am thinking of opening a motocross shop in thailand and need to import parts from the uk & usa,the parts will be sent by post (small boxes),does anyone know if i need to pay import tax and if i do how do i find out about it.any help would be good.thanks.By the way is there many motocrossers out there?

If you are importing in small boxes by post you might get by without paying duty sometimes, but you can't count on it and the duty for imported auto and mc parts is pretty high--although I don't know the exact figure.

To run a legit co. you will have to set up some kind of company, etc., and obtain a work permit. Different options for that. If you are serious about starting up a business you should contact Sunbelt Asia straightaway (one of the forum sponsors)--doesn't cost anything for their advice. If you ask on the forum you will get all kinds of advice--much of it wrong.
