Great explanation. Thanks.Your #3 on filtration is backwards though. The filter bags capture the washed bud and the ”goodies”  pass through.

I was growing my own for 2 years, and the only plant I grew that had significant smell was White Widow, the other 20 or so hybrids I grew were relatively smell free. I also shared some of my grow with other forum members, and they didn't find it abnormal. Been smoking 0.5g a night since COVID started, it all tastes like a variation on burnt straw to me, some raw bud has a slight smell, but mostly not.

Any reason you stopped growing your own? To much hassle? Not worth the effort? Just curious. 
 

I assume the reason it that greenhouse grown weed is so cheap to buy now at around 20 Baht a gram on average that why bother growing your own outdoor weed. 
 

I would never grow my own. I don't really have a good outdoor location for it but, even if I did, I couldn't be bothered to mess with all the nuances of it. So much can go wrong along the way and the plants could die or have other problems. Then you got both the drying and the curing process where other things could go wrong too. And it's so much simpler to find some bud that you see, you like, and then you just buy it.

 

I am sure there is a bit of fun and gratification in growing your own, and you can also be sure that no harmful chemicals have been used in growing it, but still I could never be arsed to be a grower. 
 

I also have about 10 different strains on hand to choose from at any given time that I've purchased. Can't have that variety so easily when you're growing it yourself either.

You got it, not worthwhile when I can buy for 10-20bht/g. I was growing in an indoor tent. Tried outside but too much whitefly/greenfly.

I'm sick and tired of all these high prices for weed. 4 Baht, 7 Baht a gram. We know they're taking the piss when it should be much cheaper. That's it, I'm waiting until they start paying me to take the weed off their hands and that's when I'll finally start buying!

I bought Blackberry Moon rock at 9bht/g, as strong as anything I've had, but not much smell or taste. At the moment I'm mixing it with some older weed to reduce the strength a bit.

 

Can't say what the 4bht and 7bht is like as I already have about 6 months supply in hand now, can't smoke more than 0.5g a day. I expect they'll be sold out within a day or two, so order now if you want to try it.

Why not just smoke less instead of it's too strong?
 

I purposely don't use any of this mid-grade weed for the opposite reason. There is nothing wrong with it, but I could easily go through over a gram in a day without ever getting solidly high. 
 

I pay 2-3 times the cost of mid-grade, but I stick to the stronger stuff that is labeled in Thailand as "exotic".
 

This way I need to consume less, which is better for overall health I believe, and I get a stronger high (while using a lot less weed) than I have ever gotten from any of the mid-grade stuff.

Difficult to judge dosage when 1/3 joint is too much, but that's just me.

How much of your 'stronger stuff' do you smoke at one sitting?

I assume that if I used some of the weed you’re using now, it might not have the same effect on me. I probably wouldn’t get as high as you do from the small amount you’re consuming, I’d be surprised if I found it as strong. But everyone’s tolerance is different, and it can build up over time, especially if you’re using stronger stuff regularly.

 

On average, a joint is about half a gram, so you’re likely consuming around a quarter of a gram in one sitting, maybe even less, not much at all.

 

I stopped smoking a while ago and now only use a vaporizer. I load about 0.2 grams into it each time, take three or four hits, and then dump it out. That’s enough for me in one sitting with the stuff I usually use.

 

After an hour or two, I might do it again, and maybe a third time later. In a day, I’ll go through about 0.6 grams over three sittings, and I stay solidly high the whole time. Some days I only use a total of 0.4 grams over two sittings. It depends on how I feel. 

 

When I have used mid-grade weed, I often loaded two rounds of 0.2 grams back-to-back, so I would vape 0.4 grams in one go. An hour later, I might add another 0.2 grams, but from there, no matter how much I consume, I never seem to get fully high. There’s a limit. I don’t fully understand why, but it seems that no amount of mid-grade weed gives me the same high as the stronger stuff. That's the real reason why I'm not a big fan of it.

 

That’s just my honest experience. I don’t look down on lower-priced weed; I buy it from time to time to have around or to give to friends, but I rarely use much of it myself. When I do, it’s usually after I’ve had the higher-quality stuff and want something less strong to cap off the evening.

When you say they've been processed...they look like they've been machine cleaned by tumbling to get the look they have...curious asks...how do you tell they've been processed from a photo
