I might be reading it wrong but it appears she wanted a bowl so she wouldn't be eating out of the take away container. I don't think the delivery container was used JT.

Apps ask if you want utensils or not etc  but restaurants often send them anyway regardless.

Read the post that I responded to!   That poster referred to a chipped glass, I did not say that the bowl in the OP was chipped.
