Expert Urges Government To Raise Tax For Foreign Condo Buyers
Fear of those ghosts has been evident in many aspects of the Thai economy, ever since the crash. Between 2000 and 2020, the government debt to GDP ratio was driven down to as low as 38%, it was only the appearance of covid that forced them to spend more. Even the IMF was telling them year after year that it's OK to run a sensible budget deficit but still they refused.. https://tradingeconomics.com/thailand/government-debt-to-gdp -

I'd completely forgotten about him. Mind you, so many posters have vanished in past year it's hard to remember them all. -

The EU's Struggle with Identity: A Shift Towards Xenophobia and Ethnic Nationalism?
Not in my opinion. The EEC was probably a good idea for Europe, but the push to make it a political and monetary union was ill considered and an expensive mistake, as was expanding it willy nilly. Far as I'm concerned, it was always a project that would fail, as the political structure is not fit for purpose. The most obvious failure is the liberal idiots trying to force all the EU countries to share the illegals that they were so keen to invite in. Now of course the results is plain- right wing gains in elections and countries like Germany desperately imposing "restrictions' that are so pathetic as to be meaningless. IMO it's going to fail anyway, so now is as good a time as any.- 1

Israel and Hezbollah Exchange Blows in Pre-emptive Strikes and Retaliatory Attacks
The fly in the ointment is the support Iran gives to anyone who attacks Israel. Of course, Iran doesn't care about the Sunni Palestinians, they use the conflict to tamp down any domestic opposition, by changing the subject. -

Investment for income stream for a Thai
Sorry, I don't get involved in ponzi schemes. I'm happy averaging 12% a year for more than 40 years with very little interaction. -

Destination Thailand Visa Sparks Interest, Faces Future Hurdles
by definition of the Thai Revenu Department, if they stay 180 days or more in a calendar year, they are tax-residents and I have seen nothing about them being exempt as in the LTR. Therefore, I would think that the RD will want their taxes but TIT so who really knows anything about anything here.- 1

Kamala Harris Shifts Position on Border Wall, Signaling Tougher Stance on Immigration
Don't mind the other guy ok. Clearly there are enough Democrats here that show they just hate Trump and will turn even the greenest grass into kindle. I am beginning to think that to become a Democrat means you need to be brainwashed and able to twist anything that opposes the Democrat into illegal or unlawful. Haha that guy really believes Trump is a rapist. Even though acquitted. It is scary thought to think of what the Dems use in their brainwashing tactics but i have seen others who actually see what the Dems do twisting any rhetoric into and EVIL TRUMP campaign.- 1
