Like State pensions for those living in Thailand?

Well I like to think I paid specifically for that as I chose to do voluntary NHI payments.... sometimes some substantial catch-up cheques.

  • Here's an idea.......a 300 baht tourist extortion should take up some of the shortfall!

All they need now is 133 million tourists... ????   Perhaps they could increase foreign tourists' hotel prices ten-fold, and national park prices to 50× what locals pay in the meantime.

  • It's not that the baht is strong, it's the fact that the £ is weak.  In the good old days of 70+ to the £ I used to spend it all on high living; now I have to check the price of Weetabix carefully.  W

Yes people like me who contributed 47 plus years of National Insurance and Income Tax, I don’t put a burden on the NHS now I live here.

Wow - that's more than me!  I did nearly 40 years sometimes working three jobs in my service to my country.  My state pension is 350 UKP a month.  Going back next week to see family & if I knew how I'd claim full pension for the 1st time in nearly 20 years.

Going back next week -- I'd love to know how to claim full pension whilst I am there!
