Daily News Thai Caption: A new way to sell fish

 

A post on Facebook harped back to an era when pretty girls the length and breadth of Thailand used to appear in so called "fishbowls" - places where customers would usually chose women for "special" activity.

 

They still exist in many places especially massage parlors.

Now a seller of tropical fish at the Chatuchak market has taken it a step further and hit on a great gimmick to advertise his shop.

 

He has filmed pretties - promotional ladies in Thailand - among the Arowana in his fish tanks.

 

Three million viewed the spectacle in eight hours on the page of Ratchatapan Chiaochan who runs "Big Fish Shop".

 

Daily News expressed surprise that more foreigners than Thais were tagging friends.

 

Maybe they are still missing Thailand.....and its stunning ladies. It's less likely they know their guppies from their groins. 

 

The Thai media also noted that true fish enthusiasts were a bit concerned for the aquatic personnel and some were concerned for the ladies. 

 

But mostly the internet was full of men gawking to the left of the tanks.

 

ASEAN NOW notes that the soft music in the 26 second clip had not yet inspired either Angel Fish to "shuffle".

I have an empty fish tank.  One of these ‘pretties’ can move in any time she wants to.  Mind you I might get some opposition from the SO.

... and chips with that.

So, are they on sale? (And where do I get a large enough fish tank?)

Reminds me of that Gogo bar a long time ago near Centre Condo in South Pattaya. What was the name of that place?

Just waiting for the tragic story of Lek, new to the job, who climbed into the tank of piranha.

I think this idea is fine and confirm it is okay to proceed without any opposition from my side.

They will all come out as wrinkled as hell and looking in their 80s,  

Problem is might make the water smell a bit fishy

The fish tank at Makro's is always full, how would they ever get in?

Early in the day, a blind man walks past a fishmonger's and calls out, "Morning, girls"! . . .

There used to be a gogo bar in Pattaya with a huge fish tank that the girls would swim in.

Great! Fish and crabs.

Most I met were dry as the Sahara, and not wet behind the ears.

Some maybe remember the Fisk Tank bar in Nana...20-25 years ago.

Extremely risque....naked nymphs diving for coins along the wall of the bar.

Ground floor, on the left as you came in. Not that I ever went in there.

Girls in fish tanks? This is a problem on what scale ?…

It was called Mermaid or similar to that. Next to Lollipop. 

From today's point of view it was funny that the girls actually dived for 10B coins.

The aquarium was pretty big. It had enough space for a couple of girls at the same time.

One of the last places on earth men can ogle women without being shamed for it or otherwise canceled by the self-righteous ????

True in general but don't forget there are a few self-righteous folk on here also. You know the ones, attempt to take the high moral road but then you discover who they are when in a Gogo bar ????
