Not to mention Thailand's first-rate ranking for beaches with seas full of sewage, turds, plastic bags, etc. What a shame that these achievements weren't mentioned, or Thailand might have made top of the list... Its takes 9 years for a cigarette butt to disintegrate until which time it remains unsightly and toxic to wild life. But I see no reason why they shouldn't have smoking areas near the road side of beaches or near the toilets.
