Looking at that hairline as a monk, I can see why he wears wigs when dressed as a female..

Why assume that? I paid nearly 6 million for the house me and my family live in and paid it in cash (Bank cheque actually).

So you paid with a cheque, not in cash.

I say again. Thailand is real pantomime. Here with a wave of a magic wand or Rhythm Stick We have a poor monk transformed into a rich Barbie Doll with a magnificent coach. No doubt her handsome prince will come. Pun?

But the person in the article just transferred the money from their bank account and didn't pay cash.

I hate to break it to you, but if the buy wasn't by credit, whether it be by check, cash or a direct deposit from the bank, it's cash.

Not according to various dictionaries. Just one as example:

"cash

money in the form of bills and coins, rather than checks or credit cards"

Provided she has paid all the relevant tax on her income, no one can complain.

I am sure the Revenue Department will be able to confirm this.

Just a generic term for "not on finance". ????

But then I refer the honourable gentleman to the following common usages :

Cash is king

Hard cash,

Will Sir be paying by cash or credit card ?

There also often being a checkout lane in supermarkets designated "cash purchases only".????

What gets me is supposed to be a monk a man of God then he wants to change the gender and be a woman and everybody except that like it’s no big deal how can a monk a man of God do such a thing in the time people don’t care a lot of fake things in Thailand including monks TIT

I have learned never to criticize the Sangha or the monks.

I have no idea why this story is in the news section.  It seems like the topics that some Thai people might be interested in is now being broadcast here.

My speculative guess would be a large portion was donated from his former parish.

She's a survivor. She didn't let her gender and sex contradictions ruin her life. She's  brave and hard working

So if great gobs of money (meaning stored physical cash) come from a bank account, it's assumed to be all legal?

I'll need to keep that in mind when shopping for a new mattress.

OMG! You mean I should have told the tax man when I bought my Vios Bentley?

Posssible all depends what the tv stations or companies pay. They have had many stories about what they own as a monk and what they did receive after they left or donations
