No doubt when this person was a Monk then that is when the money was accumulated.  Not many monks live by Buddhist teachings in Thailand. Then once set up financially for life decided to go back to the real world. The story told about how that money was earned is no doubt BS.

I met quite a few monks when I was a monk who could become "lady-boys" in a heartbeat.  They had all the mannerism's down pat.  Usually, but not always, the abbots of the temples are really cautious about ordaining these types of men/boys.

You must have hung around a whole different temple than me.. I never seen any money when I was a monk.  I must have been staying in the wrong temple.

For many people today "Pay in Cash" means you pay with "real" paper money or you do a banktransfer without using a credit. Like you have "Cash" in your bank account and transfer that to another account.

In 9 months, as a monk, I must have been donated maybe 1200 baht.  3.6M, no way to just be donations.
