Trump asks for a 'special master' to review Mar-a-Lago evidence

Former President Trump is asking a federal court to appoint a special master to review the documents the FBI seized from Mar-a-Lago this month during a court-authorized search.

In a motion filed in federal court in Florida, Trump also is seeking to prevent the government from further reviewing the documents that were taken until a special master is appointed, and he wants the government to provide more details on items that were taken during the search.

The legal action is the first from Trump's attorneys since FBI agents executed a search warrant at Mar-a-Lago two weeks ago.

Actually, the very worst of lawyers.

The suit was filed “Donald Trump Pro Se”

What is it they say about the client of a man who decides to defend himself in court?

A grifter who doesn't pay his legal bills and someone who obviously doesn't have a strong case.

How does that work?

Obviously, Trump is **** scared that what was seized has compromising material beside the classified documents.

Could be something to do with one of his known aberrations. I'm not suggesting it would his obsessive penchant for fast food, so obviously it's not missing McDonald Happy Meal vouchers.

It will be laugh off by the court. The search warrant was authorized by a federal court upon the required finding of probable cause. Trump and his light weight lawyers are throwing the proverbial ketchup on the wall and hope some will stick.

Good one...but I still think that the real fools are the ones who continue to fall for the con man's never ending BS and grifting in spite of overwhelming evidence that it is all a giant $$ ego con.

This motion contains a mixture of whining;

I'd suggest that, apart from the minority MAGA crowd, it's captured the attention of the American public in a bad way for "President Donald J. Trump"

"The FBI and DOJ have demonstrated a willingness to treat President Trump differently than any other citizen," the motion states, citing the two years of the "noisy" Trump-Russia investigations and more.

Trump’s lawyers demanded a special master to review the records, stressing that a DOJ "filter team" "will not protect President Trump’s rights."

Nothing to hide, nothing to fear!

All this motion is doing is ask for a special master but padding that request out with nothing but official Trump PR with no supporting documentation to back it.  The court will probably grant it but all this does is delay the inevitable.

And Trump goes on with his incoherent lies....

"ALL documents have been previously declassified," Trump said. "We are demanding the appointment of a SPECIAL MASTER to oversee the handling of the materials taken in the raid. We are further demanding that the DOJ be forced to turn over a REAL, without ‘plants,’ inventory of my property that was taken and disclose where that property is now located." ????

More fun from the Fox News article

."This Mar-a-Lago Break-In, Search, and Seizure was illegal and unconstitutional, and we are taking all actions necessary to get the documents back, which we would have given to them without the necessity of the despicable raid of my home, so that I can give them to the National Archives until they are required for the future Donald J. Of course.  Trump's library would have menu's from around the world and, um,.....other stuff?

Edit:  Come to think of it, only menu's of basic American food.  I don't think he was much of a gourmet.

'"noisy" Trump-Russia investigations'. Yes I agree!

Bill Barr Lied About Considering Charging Trump With Obstruction Of Mueller

Part of that noise was the LIES from Trump's DOJ Bill Barr when he told Congress that he had considered the Mueller Russian Collusion report where Mueller had suggested that there was evidence to charge Trump with obstruction of his investigation. Barr told Congress to "trust him" and that he had a confidential report which analysed and considered Mueller's evidence and the outcome was that there was insufficient evidence to charge Trump. There was no such consideration or report. It was a big LIE, a court discovered last week.

Also, Manafort recently admitted that the Trump 2016 Campaign colluded with Russia and a Senate Report found collusion all last week.

So much "noise" this month proving that the "Russia Russia Collusion" was not a hoax after all.

They already got $1.6 billion from a dark money fund run by the Federalist Society, the same society which manipulated the last 3 supreme court appointments. There remains the possibility that dealings between this outfit and Trump are included in those documents.

Trump library! ????

Trump claims he wants the documents back so we can give them to the National Archives. The fact is that it was the National Archives that sicced the FBI on him in the first place because they suspected that he hadn't given them all back.

And this apart from the fact that even if the documents were declassified, he wasn't entitled to take them.
