Webcam advice

Have a newer decent laptop, bought a year or so ago. Have a fast fiber internet connection. I need a decent Webcam for online meetings etc. Laptop has one but unfortunately one of those stupid pop up from the keyboard ones. End result it is basically looking up your nose. I got one off Lazada for about 500 baht, supposedly HD 1080, 200 positive reviews (obviously from friends). Anyway the video is really grainy. Have already sent it back. Nearly like the ISO set way too high on a camera. I am indoors at my desk with fluro lighting but I assume Webcams are designed to operate like this. The pop up camera in the PC is not stunning but would be adequate but as I said not useable due to it's position.

I don't really want to spend a fortune as this may only be for temporary use. Has anyone recently bought one with semi decent results? I am not after Blueray / DVD quality just decent and useable

Maybe take a look at Logitech

I have one of these on my 3D printer, it’s alright, 720P, not amazing but might fit your budget and spec. 700B

Logitech C920 ฿1,710.00 https://s.lazada.co.th/s.Slux0 or maybe the slightly more expensive 922.

The picture is good, and people who I speak to comment on the decent microphone.

Agree about Logitech. I have a C525 (Probably superseded now), which is another decent budget 720p capable webcam. Good value for money.

Most Webcams are utter toss... Or at least they were last time I was in the market for one.

One option, if you don't mind faffing around a bit, is to get a small tripod for your phone and an app that will let you use your phone as a camera. The picture quality will be leagues better than any webcam you can find.

Have you looked at Light options Kenny202 ?   my 3 Thai daughters talk a lot on the internet with "Friends" --and they wouldn't go on without the correct light.

They use the Halo light and the smaller and favorite is the one that you travel with also.

Unable to find it on LAZADA.

BTW, maybe somebody knows if a second-hand one is available.

I just bought one from Lazada...

Look like still available. I have received mine already and used it, excellent. Picture and sound very good and plug and play effortlessly,

By the way, if you are ever looking for something on Lazada don't actually search on Lazada. Better just do a google search and first results usually shopping suggestions. I don't know what's up with Lazada search engine but often I search exactly what would be in the description on Lazada and get a few results. Do a google search and get tons of stuff come up on Google (Lazada) that didn't come up on their own search engine, Even non Thai stuff like searching Logitech C615
