Number of Thai people committing suicide increased by 1,000 people per year in the past five years

There never was a dislike. Why do you need a dislike icon? If you don't like something, just ignore it and move on. There's no need for you to upset people by expressing your disapproval.

Youtube allows dislikes. Facebook allows lol, sad and angry emotions.

We cannot expect everyone to agree with us so these emotions are quite normal.

As long as the number of likes is more than the number of dislikes, I don't think people will be upset.

Not surprising really when the government destroyed your economy, your job, your income, your lifestyle and probably your marriage and family too. I expect more suicides during stupid lock downs and p

  • If Prayut & Co stay in power I can envisage that increasing more.

  • I bet that the people in power who put the stupid lockdowns in place were hoping for higher numbers , like the rest of the governments brought by the WEF

This is largely due to the "Prayuth Decimation". Not exactly bringing happiness to the people.

The highly selective economic shutdowns crushed countless families. It falls entirely upon the shoulders of the current leadership.

The same can be said for leaders across the world, this is not a Thai-specific thing.

Lockdowns have caused horrendous hardship and distress.

I hope one day we will see the culprits pay for what they did.

OTT reactions to covid by the gov have exacerbated depression and suicide rates here more so than those countries where there has been backup to these measures. They had an agenda, chiefly in keeping protesters off the streets. Very sad; doubtless Thailand can be a very lonely place if one is susceptible. China probably also has high suicide rates on account of draconian covid measures, though you’d never uncover any meaningful figures.

While this is partly true, the extent to which the economy was decimated here represents a real crisis, and a huge level of malfeasance. Many other nations are doing quite well, and have recovered nicely. Cowardly nations such as China and Thailand were devastated. The tourism industry here may have been permanently damaged. They kept the nation shut for far too long.

China is far worse. The clinging to the zero Covid policy is sheer idiocy.
