There's a character on YouTube who has visited and reviewed all Provinces travelling on a small scooter. He has also ventured into neighboring SEA countries.

Obviously, his visits are somewhat fleeting in many of the places but do provide an insight into the main towns and their attractions.

His vids may be of interest to some here.

Paddy Doyle - YouTube

He's really good.

Funny with him going through Issan.  He was at his wits end.

And Udon Thani is just 45 minutes drive.

Udon Thani has a lot of Universities and bustling shopping district, UD Town, Great health care facilities.

I think they were expecting more business from the bridge to Nong Khai. That really never materialized.

While pretty with the river there's really not much to do.

Most people bypass it and head to Udon Thani or Khon Kaen.

More tourists in NK than KK. KK has the best nurse training Im told. Central is for locals. 100 beers though is impressive.

98% of people in Udon Central were Thais.

NK needs a theme park or something. Big waterslide world or something.

Why are your threads always so negative and base?

Judging by prior posts it's 12 years longer than you've ever been with a decent woman. It's half her adult life.

All your posts are negative. Nothing positive. You told me to go to Pattaya or Phils.

Been married longer than 12 years.

Say something positive.

I call a spade a spade. Your response was one line - very shallow and no value at all.

If you have alternative reviews write them.

Simply writing a one line complaint helps nobody.

Simply writing about a handful of towns and the way you sensed the locals felt towards you is unhelpful subjectivity.

No mention of Korat, Surin, Si Sa Ket, Burirum and many more.

Surin - liked it

Burilum didnt like it

You want to me to review 20 towns? Pay me 10,000 baht per town. I give you 20 photos and 500 words each

No buddy it shows 100 beers. Thats a lot more choice than 10. Thailand was not like that 15 years ago.

Try being positive.

Yawn.

Prasat Phimai?

Phnom Rung?

A walk through a night market sampling food?

Fun, engaging evening at open air variety show?

A lovely restaurant on a river featuring dynamite Laotian food?

No. A beer case.

Locals spell it both ways. Not surprised you dont know that.

I have stayed at that hotel....Khongjiam....????

Thai folk who want something translated to English may well spell it that way, or want it that way, but as I have lived near the place for 15 years, I can assure you it is Khong Chiam...

All that was needed....????

Correct. If you had something of substance to say you would make a proper post and use sentences.

Making 1 to 4 word posts is what a troll does. 74,000 troll posts.

Your words are a reflection of your thoughts.

Actually Thai script is used. There is no 100% translation between TS and English so both Jiam and Chiam are fine.

As a "local" you should know this.
