Siam Rath reported that a man called Pareuhat Pinthong, 45, called rescue services after a large python tried to swallow a one year old white goat at a house in Muang district of Saraburi, central Thailand.

Pareuhat had attacked the python with a knife causing two gaping wounds in an effort to save the goat.

It failed but the python gave up swallowing the goat and slithered off.

A rescue man arrived and grabbed its tail but proved not strong enough to get the python into custody.

He called back-up from another rescuer and the pair managed to get the python and return it to nature.

Ploy, 19, said that the python - 4 meters long -  was also probably responsible for eating 6-7 of her cats.
