‘Super Typhoon’ Noru brings more wet weather and floods to Cambodia

The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology has issued another bulletin on the effect of ‘Super Typhoon’ Noru on parts of Cambodia. The Ministry said that northwestern provinces such as Oddar Meanchey, Preah Vihear, Ratanakkiri, Siem Reap, Banteay Meanchey, Pailin, Battambang and Pursat will have moderate to heavy rainfall due to the effects of rain and low pressure.


The ministry also stated that the rainfall level combined with the runoff from Thailand would cause these provinces to be flooded and flooded by excessive amounts of water.

 

In a press release issued on the morning of September 27, 2022, the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology said that according to the evolution of the weather conditions, the absorption force of the impact of the 16th typhoon Nuro ( NORU), which originated in the eastern Philippines, will gradually weaken the ITCZ, which extends over northern Cambodia. On September 27, 2022, it is forecast that Noru will approach the central coast of Vietnam.
