First you have to find a thai you can trust, then when all is done he/she's gone rip you off, same old story.

Yes, he can.

As you might have gathered from the preceding replies, there are some cons ... It IS possible to find a decent Thai partner, but you'd no chance to know, without having had a matured relationship with the partner candidate.
