Sanook Thai Caprion: He wants to visit Thailand.

Sanook reported on the case of a foreign man who was featured rollerblading in heavy traffic on the streets of the Thai capital Bangkok.

The man without helmet or other body protection was going fast in between traffic. One Grab delivery guy couldn't get by.

Netizens reacted in droves saying this was highly inappropriate and dangerous after a clip featured on Red Skull.

Lumpini police managed to identify the miscreant as 37 year old Canadian national Jordan McIver who was found at a condo in their jurisdiction.

Picture: Thai Rath

He admitted that it was him in the video.

"I was exercising and exploring Bangkok," he told the police. "I had no idea it was wrong as I don't know the Thai law. I'll pay my fine and won't do it again".

Thai Rath had a picture of that happening at the police station.

Mr McIver's details were recorded and he was fined 1,000 baht for behavior related to blocking the highway.

Inappropriate and dangerous!!!!

Pot calling the kettle black!

These people need to learn what safe, considerate road use is before reacting in droves.

Just another embarrassing farang, doing things here he probably wouldn't do in home country.  Total menace to himself & others.

F'g idiot

Imaging tomorrow 20 000 Thai people doing the same, great way to control air pollution and get some exercise.

Just one car door opening could have killed him,not smart eh?

I've seen those in NY.

Skating until the first hole, flying 3 meters, go back and continue skating.

I really was expecting something crazier.   To be honest, I could've seen myself doing this maybe 5 years ago.................Maybe starting in a park, then getting in traffic and thinking this is like being a bike messenger in NYC...............

I've done TONS of biking in crazy traffic without a helmet, but not on the news............yet.

They say he was "highly inappropriate".........................this is what I need to know!!!!!   This could be the most important part.

As long as he is keeping up with the traffic, I don't see a problem.

Whilst I agree with your sentiment, surely there are many more Thais on motorbikes without helmets on the roads every day weaving in and out, not just on Sukhumvit, they are not immune?

yeah not that smart at all but it was still pretty cool. I wish I had the skill and the guys to try that at least once.

my only thrill is Lumphini to the KSR on the back of a Bolt taxi motosai. although I did a long trip to Central Bang Na the other week on the back of an electric scooter whilst it was threatening to rain. driver went the back way to avoid the Suk and I got to see the butt-end of Bangkok. it was quite the adventure. p'raps our Canadian buddy should have started off the main roads eh?

Roller bladder is an equal road user? He is more pedestrian than motorist.

Hilarious video, looks like a tootsie clogging it down the highway with ‘high heel boots.

No, he sure isn't.

No, it's not a contradiction if his "fast" was slower than the bike traffic.

So its OK to ride a motorbike on the path if you are Thai but this guy would be classified as a pedestrian but he is charged with a motoring offence for actually do nothing wrong !

Cool.  If if want to roller blade in heavy traffic, all it will cost me is 1000 THB (and perhaps my life).

They're not immune but they are, theoretically, legal on the roads.
