Thai man buys his dream car with coins saved in a piggy bank for just nine months

Sanook Thai Caption: Great!

A Thai man has managed to save enough in coins in a piggy bank in just nine months for a down payment on a spanking new Isuzu pick-up.

In a TikTok video from the car manufacturer's sales team (isuzu.2022) they showed the man handing over 180,000 baht for counting.

Later in the video he did some wai-ing to the steering wheel and flower placing on the front grille - both highly important measures to ensure safety on the Thai roads.

A jaunty exchange in comments between the sales person called "Pee Ef" and the customer took place.

The customer thanked Pee Ef for providing those lovely little extras and for looking after him so well.

Pee Ef responded that he was an inspiration for other Thais trying to save, reported Sanook

It was not revealed how long it took to count 180,000 baht in coins or why the customer had so many coins in such a short space of time.

That is about 650 THB in coins every day for 9 months. Does he sell BBQ sticks for 10 THB each or what does he do?

I saved up in similar fashion a few years ago for an Aston Martin one 77 but it turns out I was 78th in the queue so I blew the lot on 4 pints of Guinness and a very loose woman ????

I do think the guys at the car shop, would have been happier if he had come with a bank transfer.

Probably get repossessed in a few months ????

A Thai who can save 20 000 baht per month does not have a barebones income.

Spend 600 baht less a day

I’m saying it does not lead to road safety.

But you are aware that it was a joke, right?

That's the minimum wage, not average.

That's a matter of opinion, or faith.

My parents have a St. Christopher in their car, my wife's parents have a Buddha, I have a Ganeshji.

Many in the US have a plastic Jesus.
