DPM Supattanapong defends government’s foreign land-ownership policy

 

Deputy Prime Minister Supattanapong Punmeechaow defended the government’s plan to allow land-ownership in Thailand for residential purpose by four groups of foreigners, in his response to criticism of the plan by Move Forward Party Leader Pita Limjaroenrat in the House of Representatives.

Transport Minister inspects Suvarnabhumi Airport

Girl, 13, appeals for help claiming attack by female friends over "relationship with 50 year old man"

Thai Rath reported that a 13 year old girl named only as "A" went on the popular page of "Ban Dung Update" in Udon Thani, north eastern Thailand, after she was attacked by four females friends of a similar age.

Thailand succeeds in artificially breeding short mackerel

The Thai Fisheries Department has succeeded in artificially breeding short mackerel, known locally as “Pla Tu”, a favourite edible fish among Thai people. Hormone-induced spawning was used, with a high survival rate of the fry, according to Chalermchai Suwannarak, director-general of the department.

Attorney General asked to examine Bangkok’s Orange Line train project contract

The opposition Move Forward Party has officially asked the Office of the Attorney-General (OAG) to screen the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) investment contract for the Orange Line train project, before the document is submitted to the cabinet for approval.
