6 months in UK/6 Months in Thailand

Featured Replies

Am I required to deposit the 40K monthly deposit for my Retirement Stamp (Marriage) during a six month residence in UK if I split the year 6 here 6 there;

I am guessing you mean 400K......and I would have said yes, but you only need to deposit the 400K for two months prior to reapplying for you extension of stay.....that is my understanding........I am sure greater minds than mine will confirm or correct.

You must prove a year of transfers from abroad that is not less than 40k baht to apply for a one year extension of stay.

At the moment we do 3/3/3/3  UK/TH using 90 day 'visiting family' visa.  Thinking of going to 6/6 and I would go to Laos and get the one-year multiple entry visa which allows 90 day stays.  If you time things right you'd need just one visit to Laos per year (in the middle of your three month stay) and no messing about with bank transfers, stacks of documents, poss. Thai immigration officers visiting house etc etc..
