To best understand non O ....it's a single entry visa that gives a 90 day stamp (permission of stay) Prior to expiry of that 90 days you obtain a 12 month extension. Ongoing to live in Thailand you keep extending (annually) your permission of stay. You are not extending the Non O visa (it's used) Note if you wish to exit Thailand you need to buy a reentry permit.. -

Controversial Monastery Investigation: 41 Corpses Discovered in Meditation Course
In an unsettling development that's rapidly grabbing headlines, authorities are launching an urgent investigation into a Buddhist monastery in Phichit province, Thailand. Local police and health officials, responding to reports of 41 corpses allegedly used for meditation courses at the religious establishment, will today visit the aforementioned institution in Ban Noi, a sub-district of Pho Thale. Central to this case is determining whether the Ban Noi monastery has followed the proper legal procedures in housing these bodies. The required documentation would include death certificates and approvals from relatives of the deceased. A significant portion of the investigation will revolve around utilising forensic science to establish whether the individuals died naturally. A disciple at the monastery, referred to as 'Prapawarin', shared some insights with the media. She revealed that her meditation regimen included walking contemplatively for an hour, an hour of seated meditation thrice daily, and a two-hour nightly session in the presence of coffins holding corpses. Initially scared, Prapawarin claimed that she gradually became desensitised to the peculiar setting, finding calm in the process. Parallel to this startling revelation, in Kamphaeng Phet province's Khanu Woralaksaburi district, another unlicensed monastery was scrutinised. All 12 corpses discovered there have now been identifiably linked to known individuals. No charges have been filed against the abbot of this monastery yet. An official from the National Office of Buddhism in Kamphaeng Phet confirmed that this establishment has discontinued its controversial meditation course. This course purportedly promised participants would attain supernatural abilities, namely enhanced sight and hearing. As the police, health and Buddhist officials dig deeper into these monasteries' actions, the story undoubtedly prompts questions about meditation practices and their intersection with religious observance, not only in Thailand but globally. What jail term do you think should be imposed for this - an actual demand to execute someone? 31 months the same as Connolly or longer as it is not just 'tacit approval' it is a demand to execute someone? My view is these are just words and at most require a ban from social media for while, as calling for someone to be executed is unpleasant. What say you? Marrying a Thai Wife: Overrated or Underrated?
Not just flexible but unimforned and stubborn. I have been going to the same coffee place in CNX for five years. The Thai lady makes great coffee and is very nice. To this day she still thinks I am Japanese because I am Asian. I have stopped telliing her that I am American. Whenever I am not at her place for a stretch she usually asks me "you go to Japan?". I tell her I was in Los Angeles but I doubt she believes me. All I want is to get my coffee and get along with her. I pay, leave a tip, smile and leave until next time. This represents my experience as an Asian American in the Land of Smiles. Purusing a relationship of anykind with a Thai woman(especially in Chiang Mai) is no longer in the plans. Maybe I will try a bar girl next?
