Russian man wanted for murder in his homeland arrested in Pattaya

Pattaya, Thailand-A Russian man wanted for murder in his homeland was arrested by Royal Thai Immigration today, December 4th, 2022, after a request from the Russian embassy.

 

According to Police Major General Panthana Nuchanart, Igor Guzhin, 51, was arrested on Jomtien Beach and will be extradited to Samara, Russia.

 

Mr. Guzhin has an arrest warrant dating from October 11th, 2019, for an alleged contract murder. Guzhin had been legally living in Thailand since December 2nd, 2019, Panthana added.

A professional killer who could be hired to kill someone ...

I hope that Karma get's him ...

This guy is not exactly in a good position - he could claim asylum due to the war and being against it, but I think tourism money from his country would negate that

Thailand does not recognize nor support political asylum. The UN Human Rights Commission "delisted" Thailand's Human Rights Commission following the 2014 military coup.

He can try a Thai prison first and then off to spend the rest of his life in an even worse place. Not much of a future for him.

I am not disputing your facts, as I have no knowledge on the subject. However, they did help a beautiful Lady from Burma recently who claimed asylum, and with help ended up in Canada. This Russian Gentleman probably doesn't have the figure for that sort of help......
