CNN — A Manhattan jury has found two Trump Organization companies guilty on multiple charges of criminal tax fraud and falsifying business records connected to a 15-year scheme to defraud tax authorities by failing to report and pay taxes on compensation for top executives.

The Trump Corp. and Trump Payroll Corp. were found guilty on all charges they faced.

Donald Trump and his family were not charged in this case, but the former president was mentioned repeatedly during the trial by prosecutors about his connection to the benefits doled out to certain executives, including company-funded apartments, car leases and personal expenses.

"Show me the man and I’ll give you the crime." Lavrentiy Beria

Any company under the intense scrutiny of partisan Democrat Party prosecutors can be shown to have committed petty bookkeeping and accounting errors...the maximum penalty of a $1.6M fine shows the entire exercise was nothing but a political hit job from an elected politician who promised such a result. The verdict will be appealed a likely thrown out by the higher courts.

The fine is only the start.

Next up recouping damages, withdrawing licenses and criminal

prosecution of directors.

So, after all these years of reading "the walls are closing in" this is it? Really? Sort of like going to a fireworks display and they light off one sparkler and call it good.

From now on, the Trump Organization will be thought of mainly as the conglomerate CONVICTED of FRAUD. There's no more hiding and hinting.

More to come. The Southern District of New York and the DOJ are not finished.

If this were the only fireworks at the display you might have a point. Or don't you believe that more is coming?

Do you think this is it? The DoJ haven't announced any indictments yet. Now that the mid terms are over things might change quickly. I may be mistaken but I think this is Alvin Bragg's prosecution. Letitia James is still out there. It may be the reverse, I'm not sure. It's hard to keep track of all the investigations.

Guliani, who's in dramatic mental decline anyway (considering he was the mayor who took down New York's mafia families years ago), is still a licensed attorney in DC, but that won't last much longer.

I haven't seen any accounts of the actual jury's deliberation, but it seem to me the fact that the Trump Organization kept on paying Alan Weisselberg his full salary and bonuses, and had nothing but kind words for him, despite that fact that he committed crimes,  is a very strong indication that they were afraid of what he might reveal were he antagonized by them.

There is nothing petty about the vast criminality of Trump and anything Trump oversees. People who actually know things will tell you this, in countless books and articles. Already, about 15 or 20 books by former Trump aides testify that, as former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper wrote [in the title for his book]: Everything Trump Touches Dies.

Omg you are really suffering from the delusional Trump syndrome.

Do you not realise he has served his purpose for the federalist society ????

No one except the deniers want to see him saved

Unlike when he was president Biden is not screaming and shouting what the justice department should do for Him if hunter has done something illegal let him be prosecuted for it.

If he benifited foreign companies and its a crime fair enough he did a poor job considering how good the trump children were at it put all on trial for fairness?

While I know you'd like to imagine that's all there is, Special Counsel Jack Smith is busily working away issuing grand jury subpoenas for all communication with Trump. This is just the beginning.

It does give us an indication about what news sources they rely on.

Utter rubbish. The former disgraced guy is crooked as a dog's hind leg. These cases are based on FACTS, not the emotional attachment his sycophants have.

The guilty verdict comes as Trump is under scrutiny by federal and state prosecutors for his handling of classified documents, the effort to overturn the 2020 election results, and the accuracy of the Trump Organization’s business records and financial statements. He is also facing a $250 million civil lawsuit from the New York attorney general alleging he and his adult children were involved in a decade long fraud. The attorney general is seeking to permanently bar them from serving as an officer or director of a company in New York state, among other penalties.

Isn't James Clapper's claim to fame "testilying" to Congress when he said the CIA/NSA didn't collect the private personal information of American citizens ???? Not really someone I would quote as an example of personal integrity or trust in government.

James Clapper, the former director of national intelligence, denied Tuesday that he lied to Congress when he falsely testified during the Obama administration that the government does “not wittingly” collect the telephone records of millions of Americans.

Because if one thing Trump was opposed to is corporate lobbying?

Trump revokes rule preventing White House staff from lobbying
In a last-minute move, the outgoing president reversed his original order and allowed the revolving door in Washington to continue swinging.
