Air quality in 24 districts in Bangkok exceeds standard safety level

Air quality in Bangkok is getting worse, with the amount of PM2.5 dust in the atmosphere exceeding the standard level of 50 microns (microgram/cubic metre) being reported in 24 out of 50 districts, according to the Bangkok Air Quality Information Centre.

 

The amount of PM2.5 in the atmosphere in Bangkok was measured at between 30 and 64 microns between 5am and 7am Friday, averaging 46.4 microns.

 

PM2.5 dust is expected to increase and pose a health threat, said the centre.

same old same old every year.

 

nothing will ever change unless you stop the selfish farmers torching their crops and spewing soot all over the show.

 

sadly getting to the root of the problem is not a skill the Thais are very good at..

I'm shocked!

 

That it is only now, and only 24 districts.

 

Darn it, air has been toxic for a couple of weeks now, and today it looks a lot better than a few days ago...

Did they not announce last month that they had these new centres where you could report this and they would sort it out.

Or did I dream it, just like they do?

The title says 'air quality exceeds safety levels' ...so that is good.. It means the air is exceedingly safe! 

 

Seriously who would have emagined that this air pollution would be in bangkok at this time of year... What a total surprise!
