How soon into my 45 day exempt stamp can I apply for a 30 day extension?

Hi All,

I was away working for a few months and missed the opportunity to extend my 2021 extension based on retirement. I am back since Dec 16th on a 45 day extension and wish to get a 30 day so I can extend that for 1 year based on retirement. I am expecting to start a new work assignment in February so am hoping I can complete the process before I leave.

How soon can I apply for the 30day extension?

Last time I did the extension was in 2021 has anything changed requirements wise?

You need to apply for a non O retirement first.

That can be done up to 30 days prior to permit expiry.

12 month comes after the non O. 

You need the required financials in place
