Askern Medical Practice sent the text message to people registered with the surgery in Doncaster on 23 December. Sarah Hargreaves, who was waiting for medical test results, said she "broke down" when she received the text, only to be later told it was sent in error. Grimy 1930s council estates and nearby coal fired power stations belching black smoke into the sky 24 hours a day are my memories of the area. Doncastrians, go south, to Bristol where the grass is greener, the summers longer, the winters shorter, and the women aren't all called Sharon with peroxide blonde hair and a pram to push.
