Australia has a labour shortage, that means not enough people working. Basically, some Australians want to see only white migrants from Europe turning up in Oz. But people from Britain and Sweden are simply not going to go to Oz in large numbers. White migrants from Eastern Europe might go. But some Australians are similar to the Brexiteers in England. These particular Australians don't actually like Eastern Europeans, even though Eastern Europeans are white. So who are the new people who are willing to go to Australia ? Coloureds from places like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, etc. And indeed, some Vietnamese and Thais. Australians who don't like such new migrant workers should remember history. In the beginning, very few Brits actually wanted to go to Australia. Britain forced a load of it's own convicts and undesirables to go to Australia, as labourers. ???? Its nothing to do with racism , just like Brexit wasn't .
