sometimewoodworker Posted January 13, 2023 Share Posted January 13, 2023 (edited) The Festool drill tightens to the maximum by holding the barrel as I spin the chuck and doesn’t tighten further with the chuck stationary. The Mikita however will tighten further with the chuck stationary. It is quite possible that Festool may actually be making their own, it is virtually certain that they make the CENTROTEC chuck (which isn’t really a chuck at all but a shaft retention device) however the keyless chuck could possibly be a custom Röhm (Reohm) chuck, though it doesn’t have the locking system from the Röhm video so probably not one of theirs.
