Body of Foreign-Looking Man Found in Grassland Near Motorway
I do dislike some foreigners, the ones who come to Thailand and constantly complain about Thailand and it's people, it's infrastructure, it's way of life, the country. Yes, I don't like these badly behaved foreigners, are you one of these type, you keep going on and on. I have many foreigners as close friends, I have co-workers (foreigners) who are also my friends. What is it to you, I have never attacked you, I've never said I hate you, why are you being so offensive? Is your life that shallow and boring that you have to attack me from your warrior keyboard on my every comment I see that you have a lot of hate, you constantly badger me on these forums. Get off the keyboard, get out and about, enjoy yourself in Thailand, try to be a positive, happy person. I hope you get well soon. -

Fallen Tree Crushes & Kills Motorcyclist: Lampang

In a heartbreaking incident, a woman riding her motorcycle was killed instantly when a large roadside tree fell on her, completely covering the road with branches and leaves. The incident occurred while she was on her way to visit her husband in a neighbouring village. At around noon on September 21, officers from Chae Son Police Station in Lampang Province received a report of a fatal accident involving a fallen tree and a motorcycle on Ban Thung Road, Moo 4, Chae Son Subdistrict, Mueang Pan District. Local authorities, medical personnel from Mueang Pan Hospital, and a rescue team quickly arrived at the scene. Upon arrival, officials discovered a fallen beech tree, with its branches and leaves entirely blocking the road. Tragically, the body of a 37-year-old woman from Ban Mai Pattana, Moo 8, Chae Son Subdistrict, was found beneath the tree. She had been riding a Honda Wave motorcycle when the tree collapsed. The victim was found face-down, pinned under the bike in a sorrowful scene. Rescue workers had to cut through the tree’s branches to recover her body. Investigations revealed that the woman had left home on her motorcycle to visit her husband. Heavy rains in the area for several consecutive days likely weakened the tree, causing it to fall just as she was passing by, leading to the fatal accident. The woman’s body was taken to the hospital for further examination before being returned to her family for funeral arrangements. -- 2024-09-22 -

A local rescue worker revealed that many people don't even realise it's a U-turn spot, resulting in frequent accidents. The incident came to light after a Facebook user named "Na Kon Rescue" posted a video showing the blue U-turn sign, which was mounted on a streetlight near Chana Anusorn School in Ban Suan Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chonburi. The post quickly went viral, with many commenting on the sign’s impractical placement and questioning why it was installed so high. A reporter visited the location, confirming that the sign was mounted approximately three metres above the ground. The sign’s height makes it nearly impossible for drivers to notice while traveling at regular speeds, especially in an area where U-turns are frequent and traffic is heavy. Mr. Mana, a rescue worker from Chonburi’s Mangkon Rescue Unit (Rescue Unit 18), explained that the high placement of the sign has been a source of confusion for road users. "Drivers cannot see or read the sign indicating that this is a U-turn area, and I don't understand why it was placed so high. I urge the relevant authorities to address this issue and reposition the sign at eye level. This area has seen frequent accidents due to fast-moving vehicles and the inability of drivers to anticipate U-turning cars," he said.
