HALF MOON BAY -- Seven people were killed in a mass shooting in Half Moon Bay Monday afternoon, and authorities said a suspect was in custody.

Police were gathered at two different crime scenes in the coastal community on the San Francisco Peninsula. One crime scene was reported at the Magic Mushroom Farm at 12761 San Mateo Road/Highway 92, while a second crime scene was reported further south at 2125 Cabrillo Highway S./Highway 1.

CNN —

A suspect is in custody after a shooting incident with multiple victims in the city of Half Moon Bay, California, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said.

“Suspect is in custody. There is no ongoing threat to the community at this time,” the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said in a tweet.

The office did not give more details on the incident after tweeting earlier Monday that law enforcement officials were responding to the shooting.

Ouch, close to home..... That's my old stomping grounds.....

Anytime I wanted to just drive, the coast was about 40 minutes away over the hill on 92 to highway 1.....

Never tired of it......Always a cool vibe.....

RIP to the victims.....

Indeed, Would go to Half Moon Bay from the Monterey bay area just for the fish and chips. Have no doubt this guy was known as a whacko case even before this. And law enforcement should have been watching him. It's called preventative law enforcement. Unfortunately the liberals block this since some whackos civil rights are more important than public safety.

Nice dug at Liberals.

I think you’ll find it’s the gun rights advocates that get in the way of keeping guns out of the hands of wackos.
