And the police did not see any evidence of prostitution while removing the signs?

I can see 2 in the photo!

If this was a pantomime I'd be shouting 'Behind you!'

i can't believe you actually bought into that.

I was quoting a reference from an article printed in a Thailand Tourism publication warning tourists about "Jet Ski Scams" I did not "buy into" what was stated.

All soi's between 2nd road and beach road used to have sidewalks on both sides. Nearly all of these have been stolen from the City by bar and restaurant owners. The sidewalks are now incorporated in the bars/restaurants making walking around harder, less parking space and the roads more narrow.

Unfortunately "NO". I cannot swim and do not like the sea!

The complaint came from a ruddy great big, double decker coach loaded with Thais trying to get through to Beach Road!

As they looked out of their windows, I am sure they were proud and patriotic of their country.  :cheesy:

So when you are found dead in the water, should we suspect foul play?

Possible - I never go near the sea or deep fresh water.

Best stay away for high level balconies as well.

120 baht for a beer in a NightWish Bar now.

It's got to be getting close to over what the market is prepared to pay.

I wonder when they do something similar in Soi Cowboy. There they would have to remove whole terrasses in front of (almost?) every bar if they want to see the official road again.

Would that not make the place quite dead... he owns a good percentage of them?

(Not saying it is a bad idea though!)

Does anyone know how this is with the area directly in front of the buildings - is this public space and pavement or does this belong to the building?

If part of it is tiled, likely it's part of the building, but if pavers likely public space.

Maybe that's too easy. I think they have no problem tiling the public sidewalk in front of their townhouses and occupy it. In this case they even used the street (but without tiles) ????

Yes, many vehicle repair shops utilize pavement and up to 2 lanes out into Sukhumvit near me!
