Can a LTD company shareholder casue much trouble if you fall our with them and they refuse to sign off from the company?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a Thai Limited company - I am the director and 49% shareholder, there are two other shareholders with 25% and 26% each.

One of these shareholders is my girlfriend and we are going through another bad patch, it looks like we will break up soon.

She can be a bit rash at times and do things without considering the implications - I am worried that she might try and cause me some trouble with the company.

So the question is - what kind of problems could she cause as a 26% shareholder? Basically can she go to a lawyer and try to claim some money from the company or in some way try to grab some of the company assets?

Thanks in advance.

She can stab you while in an emotional crisis.

Anyway, how did it turn out since its 1+ year later?
