Give Taksin a few extra years behind bars for doing a runner!

Please try to learn how to spell.

Thaksin Shinawatra is spelled Thaksin.

OTOH Taksin normally here in Thailand refers to King Taksin the Great.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taksin

King Taksin the Great (Thai: สมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราช, RTGS: Somdet Phra Chao Taksin Maharat,[c] listen (help·info)) or the King of Thonburi (Thai: สมเด็จพระเจ้ากรุงธนบุรี, RTGS: Somdet Phra Chao Krung Thon Buri;[d] simplified Chinese: 郑昭; traditional Chinese: 鄭昭; pinyin: Zhèng Zhāo; Teochew: Dên Chao;[6] April 17, 1734 – April 7, 1782) was the only king of the Thonburi Kingdom. He had been an aristocrat in the Ayutthaya Kingdom and then was a major leader during the liberation of Siam from Burmese occupation after the Second Fall of Ayutthaya in 1767, and the subsequent unification of Siam after it fell under various warlords. He established the city of Thonburi as the new capital, as the city of Ayutthaya had been almost completely destroyed by the invaders. His reign was characterized by numerous wars; he fought to repel new Burmese invasions and to subjugate the northern Thai kingdom of Lanna, the Laotian principalities, and a threatening Cambodia.

Former Pheu Thai party MP and political activist for the UDD Jatuporn Prompan said that if Thaksin Shinawatra comes back he should go to jail with good grace.

Agree. Do not pass Go, but straight from the plane to jail. He's already been convicted, I understand.

Actually, the Thai society would be much better off without the likes of the Shinawatra gang. They can do better if their hearts are in it.

He’ll be returning as the father of the new Prime Minister, he’ll be fine. When he does arrive back in town, Thaksin will probably go watch Avatar at the local IMAX (large popcorn and coke - exorbitant cinema concession prices are also of no concern to Dr T).

another farang who knows better than the thai people who actually voted for the Shin gang in a landslide ....but of course their votes don't count because they don't have their hearts in it....and the powers that be can overthrow the will of the people with a nice illegal coup....

it is so simple...let the thai people vote for who they want to and then honor the results of their vote without a bunch of jacked up charges pursued by a bunch of generals and their wealthy backers who themselves illegally seized power.

By a kangaroo court run by the people who made the illegal military coup against him.

Hardly unbiased justice.

And you believe the current lot are better than Thaksin, who in 2 free elections was voted into power, and then current lot couldn't even win one election without frigging the results.
