When can I start the renewal process in chiang mai

My understanding is that the standard 5 year licence is still valid for upto 12 months AFTER the expiry date. I certainly renewed my last one several months after the expiry date and without any issue.

It may also suit , in terms of the length of the validity, of your new licence, for you to wait until after the stated expiry date.
