BANGKOK (NNT) - One of Thailand’s largest durian exporters has signed an agreement with a Chinese consortium wanting to buy 5,000 containers of fresh and frozen durian. The value of the fresh durian portion alone will likely reach 10 billion baht.

Chinese travel agencies are resuming outbound group tours to 20 countries including Thailand from today. The Bangkok Post reports that the number of Chinese tourists visiting Thailand is expected to reach pre-Covid levels by the end of the year, according to government spokeswoman Traisuree Taisaranakul.

Koh Pha-ngan’s second Full Moon Party after the pandemic ‘restrictions’ took place yesterday and was a “massive success” with an estimated 20,000 participants.
