Durian Exporter Inks Deal With Chinese Consortium

BANGKOK (NNT) - One of Thailand’s largest durian exporters has signed an agreement with a Chinese consortium wanting to buy 5,000 containers of fresh and frozen durian. The value of the fresh durian portion alone will likely reach 10 billion baht.

Koh Pha-ngan’s second Full Moon Party after the pandemic ‘restrictions’ took place yesterday and was a “massive success” with an estimated 20,000 participants. The event was held at Hand Rin, as it is each month, and featured the usual variety of concerts, fire shows and copious amounts alcohol (and perhaps some other substances).

Phetchaburi Forest to Serve as Geological Tourist Destination

PM2.5 and PM10 can harm the lungs and heart

Fine dust particles in the atmosphere do not just harm the lungs, but also the heart as well, increasing the risk of coronary heart disease, according to Dr. Thiravat Hemachudha of the Emerging Infectious Diseases Health Science Centre at Chulalongkorn Hospital.

Hunger strikes may end if court grants bail for eight detainees on Monday

A lawyer from Thai Lawyers for Human Rights (TLHR) said today (Monday) that the two young hunger strikers may end their strike if the Criminal Court agrees to grant bail to eight detainees from the Talugas protest group.

110 cattle seized at border checkpoint for examination

Thai livestock officials seized 110 head of cattle from two trucks on Sunday, at a border checkpoint in the north-eastern province of Mukdahan, after it was discovered that the drivers did not have permits for the movement of cattle.
