Tourist visa after work extension

Featured Replies

Hi,

I got fired from my job after few years working and living here, I still have my extension for the time being, but chances of finding decent work in such a short time are slim, so I am considering what to do after it expires.

I thought I would go fly to malaysia and apply for a tourist visa, will this be approved considering I am currently not a tourist?

Your extension expired the day you got fired.

No, we have signed so the last day is in the future, so official I am still working, can you even read the question I posted?

With this attitude you won't find a job quickly indeed.

If you satisfy the requirements for a tourist visa from the Thai consulate in Penang, there should be no problem. I assume your passport does not show significant time in Thailand as a tourist.

Got fired usually means you’re no longer working. Nevertheless it should not matter as tourist visa requirements are different to Non B’s

PS-we don’t have vacancies at my business.
