I have ADSL 256 from TOT and use 'totadsl.th.com' for sending mails with my mail client. But since three days now is the SMTP server down and I always have to open that boring Webmail.

Does anybody know something about this? I live in Roi Et.

Mails sent to TOT are not answered.

I’m not sure but try this, if it doesn’t work I let you know the correct smtp later today.

Had the same problem last Friday - visited the TOT DSL web site http://203.154.210.35/index.htm - it's all in Thai, but if you tab down and find your package (mine is goldcyber) and adjust settings on Outlook outgoing mail per web site it should work - mine did. But really nice of TOT to tell everyone - NOT!!!!

Now for last 2 days my DSL connection has been down - so going through everything I can think of to try and find out why?? Will visit TOT office later but no one speaks English - maybe they have changed settings for start-up handshake without telling anyone.

I live in Suratthani.

Good luck!

I made also some investigations.

There are _three_ different pages with partly different information:

http://203.154.210.35/setka.htm

http://203.154.210.35/index.htm

http://203.154.210.35/intro.htm

I have supercyber 256 in Roi Et.

This SMTP servers works for me (valid for today only maybe):

smtp-adsl.totonline.net (203.113.15.103)

smtp5.totonline.net (203.113.15.103) smae as above

tot.pacific.net.th (203.152.5.29)

??? 203.151.218.198

With all of them I can send mails.

The server smtp.pacific.net.th (203.121.130.117) gives the error 'relaying not allowed" here in Roi Et

BTW. ADSL from TOT is very unreliable here Many breakdowns of hardware (no ADSL link), many other problems e.g. link OK but logon not possible, e.g. logon OK but no communication, no pages open, no mailtransfer, nothing.

Thanks for help anyway

Thanks for the pointers. I used smtp.pacific.net.th for a few years, but it stopped working a few days ago.

Now smtp-adsl.totonline.net (port 25) works for me, in Laksi, Bangkok.

mine also wasn't working last weekend (Samut Prakarn) and often has problems, TOT couldn't help and just passed my wife from operator to operatot but it seemed to right itself. I also have smtp-adsl.totonline.net for outgoing and a loxinfo one for incoming.

Does anybody know why you can't send an email to many recipients - never had a problem with loxinfo dial-up but TOT ADSL seems to block me sending out a newsletter?

TOT mail servers are contsantly blacklisted then restored then blacklisted again, it is a waste of time using them if you rely on email for your business, most of the time you will not even be aware that your emails are not delivered.

CAT and TOT are currently blacklisted by Hotmail and Yahoo.

Try a 3rd party smtp server that relies on staying unlisted for their business such as www.smtp.com

Same problem in Ban Amphur, ADSL silver (500).

2 possibilities: for your connexion (TCPIP) use "IP automatic address) = but very slow!

2nd: let the last IP address and for the DNS use: 203.146.237.237 // 203.146.237.222

If you do that you have to connect to "192.168.1.1" (for me, I thinck same for you) and choise DNS, put the same values and press SUMIT

Good luck

Thanks. I am familiar in setting up my DSL connection. Have a home network with Modem, Wireless router, Gbit switch, NAS and some Computers connected.

The Modem gets the IP and DNS from TOT, all other equipment have fixed IP's, DNS and gateway IP's points to the router.

My Problem was only in sending mails over smtp TOT because they changed some SMTP servers at TOT.

When the whole DSL connection is unreliable, it is always out of my influence and the troubles are somewhere in the TOT's net.
