A CERTAIN RUAM THAI SANG CHART candidate running for MP has publicly predicted the Pheu Thai be dissolved by court for allegedly being masterminded by former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, said Pheu Thai leader Chonlanan Srikaew today (Feb.23).

Thai food and kidney disease – an unholy alliance

About 17.6% of the Thai population, or eight million people, are suffering from chronic kidney disease, of which 200,000 are in the final stages. These figures are increasing by an average of 7,800 a year, according to Professor Dr. Atiporn Ingsathit, deputy director of Ramathibodi Hospital, quoting a 2020 report by the Ministry of Public Health.

Tragic accident highlights gun control concerns in Thailand

In the central province of Chantaburi, the shooting event happened last night at 9.30 p.m. at a longan plantation. Two victims were discovered at the spot by a rescue team and police officers from Baan Plaeng Police Station.

Pheu Thai candidate in Bangkok says incomes have fallen by 2% since 2020 as economy is failing

Pheu Thai candidate Juthaphon Keturathorn who is standing in central Bangkok called on voters to deliver 300 MPs for her party in order to tackle the sputtering economy with her party’s pro-growth, bigger borrowing and higher income policies.


Bangkok candidate for the main opposition party reminds voters that this election is about the economy and why change must come. Juthaphon Keturathorn calls for the public to make sure Pheu Thai gets 300 seats in the new parliament after the May 7th General Election to deal with the economic crisis and inertia facing Thailand as it falls behind other countries.

Thai Rath reported that Bang Krathum police in Phitsanulok in northern Thailand were called to a head on collision between a ten wheel Hino truck and a Nissan Frontier pick-up at 3.30 pm yesterday on Route 1114, the Bang Krathum to Noenkum Road in Phai Lom sub-district.

Experts Call for More Rh-negative Blood Donors

BANGKOK (NNT) - Rh-Negative blood reserves in Thailand are alarmingly low, with only 0.3% of the Thai population having this blood type, compared to around 15% of Westerners. A panel of experts was tabling the issue during a Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Thailand (FCCT) discussion titled "Death without Donors: Rh-Negative Blood Rarity in Thailand" on February 22.

Thai Smile flight suffers engine failure, has a hard landing at Phuket

Last Wednesday, a Thai Smile Airways Airbus A320 made an emergency landing in Phuket at 1pm after suffering an engine failure. The aircraft made a hard landing resulting in a ‘tail strike’.
