Lord Of The Ring Online

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Is anyone in Thailand playing it? If so, are there any issues and is it sold in Thailand? How does it compare to World of Warcraft? Thanks for opinions in advance.

Its not sold in Thailand, but you can get hold of it online (kinda)

I played it a little, and intend to join my UK Guild there at the end of this month (Europe servers though)

Its more hardware intensive than WoW and not as well populated from a player perspective. Also WoW is available to buy in Thailand and the game cards are vailable also (if you dont have a credit card or dont want to use one)

I have been play WOW EU from its beginning and enjoy it but its hard staying up so late to go on guild raids. I wish I had started on the US version. The high latency is a pain on the weekends too. How is the latency on the LOTR EU servers?

When i played the 7day buddy key, it seemed acceptable in bangkok... latency around 400-500ms which is playable. I'm happy with that after gaming in phuket with 600+. I've got my copy coming over with a friend, it should have a buddy key (good for 7days free play) if you want it. I'll PM it over once i get it.

I've been playing LOTRO on EU server for a while now and found it generally more lag-free than WOW US servers

I'm a founder member so I no longer have any monthly fees for LOTRO - perfect for somebody who only has time to play at weekends

If anyone can PM me a US Server Buddy key would appreciate it and let me know which servers your on.

Cheers

Ive got a buddy key for US Servers if anyone needs it. Playing on the Gladden server if any one is playing there.

Hey Derek, you play LOTR online? I got it when it first came out and played for a couple of weeks, got to level 20. It's ok, but didnt keep me addicted, I played wow for a long time and might go back to that, got a 70 warrior there.

You CAN buy LOTR online at I27 on the 4th floor of MBK, or you could buy mine for half price! Comes with a 20 archer and 14 caster. Ive already forgotten the real class names.....
